Hello, I am from Singapore and bought a W400 last week. I am planning to maintain the W400 by myself as there is not many W650/W400 in Singapore. I am looking for a Service Manual of W650 as most of the parts of W400 are exactly the same as the W650. I have downloaded the German version Service Manual but I could not understand it. Please help me if you have an English version W650 Service Manual.
A very nice bike and the colour is nice too. You noticed the different indicators and the lamp....I wouldn't mind to change these parts on my 650 emjey
phang - maybe you should ask your question here: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/W650riders/ You'll have to sign up in order to read and post, but most of the people in this group are English or American, and I think there's even some guys from HongKong. I'm sure you'll get help there.
Lieber in manchen Augen eine Zicke, als gleichgeschaltet
Your Bike (and our Bike) is the most beautifull Bike in the World, as we surely know. And we have experiences abaout that. Quite sure !!!

The colour is black but I prefer the two tone colour of the W650. The indicators are the same as most small capacity Kawasaki bikes. The headlamp housing is black painted instead of chrome in W650.

Thanks ursula, I will try to post my question there.
These are some visual differences I observed so far.
- handle bar - side mirrors with rubber trim - left and right switch/control boxes - Front brake reservoir - tank colour - headlight housing (black) - no kick starter - no center stand - rear dampers - indicators - front sprocket housing
Thanks Wännä, I have read through some of the postings in this forum using http://translate.google.com and found the answers of the questions I have so far.
Currently I am facing problem to get an oil filter in Singapore, my W400 comes with a new type of oil filter (Kawasaki part number 16097-0004). I am not sure the shorter oil filter (Kawasaki part number 16097-1072) found in 2005 or older W650 can be used on my W400 or not.
New type filter cover on the right and old type on the left, I believe the new type diameter is the same as the old type but slightly longer.
