Hello,
sorry to post in english but i am from belgium and my german is good enough.
question : i want to change my stock front fork springs for nex wilbers or wirth from silverneck.
What is your experience and which is best : wilbers or wirth
Thanks
I am an Estrella and no W650 rider but as far as I have heard in the forum and on meetings, most W650 riders who changed their strings use Wirth springs now - and they are all satisfied with it.
Best regards Andreas . Achtung, dies ist die Stellungnahme eines notorisch oberlehrerhaften und besserwisserischen Dummschwätzers
As far as I know both are much better than the Original ones. I have the Wilbers and I'm satisfied and I know from other W-Riders that they are satisfied with the Wirth so: your choice, but take out the originals!
i put the wilbers in a year ago, and have been happy ever since. never had a chance to compare with the wirth ones, though, but i imagine the difference is negligible. both are a huge improvement over the originals. in my mind, you can't go wrong with either.
quite some time ago i was told, the estrella uses the same springs as our beloved w?! i was relly sceptic about this story. but then i saw the original springs....
ohmygoooooooood.....
now i´m happy with my wirts :o) for maximal satisfaction i would additionally recommend you a pair of ikons/konis.

In my W650,I use the Wirth springs.I'm quite satisfied with them - but I'll fill some more fork-oil in on next service.Due to my weight (>115 Kg ) it should be better,I believe...

Hello Yves, I am from Belgian too. I think we have had contact before ! We kunnen hier ook gewoon in het nederlands klappen, maar sommige van die mannen verstaan dat, dus wel een beetje opletten. J
