Hello W650 friends. We have in Holland a lot of fuell stations with only Euro 95 available. We all now that this fuell is not optimal for our (older) bikes. In Germany there are a lot fuell stations with klasse RON 102 available. I have found here in Holland a Firestone fuel station. This station has fuell Fireston kompetition RON 102 available. What is your experience with RON 102 fuell for our Kawasaki W 650. Is this safe or do you recommend RON 98 Fuell. Greetings Jan
Yes that is thrue perhaps.RON 91 is also not available in the Netherlands. But what do you advice me for my 2001 W650: RON 95; RON 98 or RON 102. This only to avoid carburator problems after the winter stop Greetings Jan.
I mean "not injectie type" Not that it is an old bike of course. But that is not the question. My question is: Do you have any experience with RON 102 fuel by a 2001 W650?
Yes the Euro 95 has 5% bio-ethanol and the bike running well with this fuel. My only problem is reaction from this bio-ethanol when the bike has been stopped for a longer time (2 months and longer). Than you will have carb problems. The RON 98 and RON 102 do not have additional bio-ethanol but I do not know that this type of fuel is suitable for the W650.
