this morning I had my first ride with the Kawasaki W800 windscreen. Kawasaki did a good job. The screen is sturdy and very stable. Unfortunately my body lenght and the height of the screen do not match. I got very much turbulence around my helmet. My ears are still humming. After a ride of 50 k I took the screen off – that’s a doddle because the design is flawless- and rode another 10 k. I almost heard the sound of silence. OK, I felt the wind and heard it but without the turbulence. I ‘m a naked biker forever. So, if one of you with a body length of 1,80m or less wants an almost new windscreen for the W800: edgroot@tomaatnet.nl (Netherlands) Every reasonable offer will be considered. I paid 360 euro for it. A lot of money, I know, but as I said; the design is perfect and it will work, but not for me. The size: Height=45cm, width=52cm
Yep, you 're right. Nothing is perfect, but when one 's head starts "falling off" at 70k/hr. riding a bike isn't much fun anymore. I like the elements on a bike, mind you, but then preferably without the artificial turbulence. The screen itself is of high quality but doesn't go well with myself. I'm sure someone else can be very happy with it.
Hi Edwin, in my opinion, a windscreen does not fit to a w, it´s a naked bike! You can try to adjust the angle of the windscreen to avoid the turbulences. Did you buy the windscreen at your local dealer, try to give it back and use the money for the next inspection.
