Strange as it may sound there is a guy on the French forum who's trying to downgrade the power of a W650 down to 34 hp. It must be said that there is a stupid law in France that requires that new drivers ride bikes of this power. So if you know a German enterprise that could do that, it could help.

Right. If Babelfish don't lies, you need other "Carburetor slidegate valves"(Vergaserschieber). They have an additional drilling to lower the power. Asking the Kawa-Dealer will be the best way, because it has to be registered in the documents.

Or in this Forum! My son has just completed his two years of driving max 34HP. I have the kit and will not be needing it any longer. It is still installed on the bike, but I am going to the German inspection tomorrow, and plan have the papier work changed to 50hp. The installation is abour a 20min job, and is not hard at all.
