In the North-East of Belgium, a very rare make of the Kawasaki W650 has been sighted on a truck headed for Scandinavia. It is believed to be owned by a former Belgian citizen and notorious street racer who has fled the country and seeked asylum in Sweden in order to avoid the dense traffic and abundancy of police cars. The Swedish Embassy is refraining from comments right now but a trusted source has been quoted saying that Sweden has a very open policy to immigration, as long as tax is paid in time.
Our reporter in Sweden tried to interview the alledged owner of the bike but apart from a dry "more Wodka" no sensible comments were given.
In Antwort auf:He has done what I asked him to do , and he is of no further use now ...
before you dispose of him - think he would do for this years pinup calender ?
for who's interrested - last year we had a pin up calender for the girls - the models were all members -of course our main interrest was always the W 650
Unloaded the bike, then to the fuelstation, then home. I took it really gently as I have to get used to the bike after about 1 year of inactivity. But it felt so right ! She was a bit hesitant in the beginning, feeling like she was out of fuel but I could only fill 6.5 liters. So it must have been something else. Anyway, after some stretching it was completely gone and it is amazing how easily she picks up speed
After coming home and shutting off the engine she was happily ticking...teting teting teting teting hmmm I love that sound of a hot engine cooling down.
Later this week she will get a good wash and then it is off into the Swedish landscape. Stay tuned for more, I hope to be making some great pictures.
When we went up to Mt Ventoux in France mine started to do the same above 1500m - when we got lower again it was gone, and hasn't occured since- weather was not too warm that day and wet, so I thought it might have been carb icing , but then- sometimes you never know -she's only human
We are pretty much at see level where I live. I guess I just need to get used to hear, it is more than a year ago !
Anyway, I was out again tonight and thinks are loosening up. I found some nice spots to take pictures, but like fatstring was saying, I do not bother to stop ! This bike is made for running and that is what it will do !
So, some patience for the pictures, they are coming !
I don't stop to clean mine, and you don't stop to take pictures. That's fair. And to Ursula; I had a dream I was tiling a bathroom last night, thanks.... I blame you and your talk of Tadelakt.
And a picture of my bike to prove to Joris that the elusive W650 can, in fact, be photographed in the wild.
