That's globalization my friend, the same thing is starting here with wine, more and more viticulteurs are making some vin de cépage as Chardonnay etc. to sale abroad. The wines must have the same taste if you want to export to the U.S., Chile, South Africa, New Zealand and France alike It is just a beginning but as the wine is selling badly it will be more and more the same. Just around my place at a hundred km range I can get ca twenty totally different wines.
