Great thanks. Very relaxing. The Fijian people are fantastic hosts, so if you ever get the chance to visit you should.
A bit cold here though. Cold but no rain at the moment so I might get Hubert out of the garage tomorrow for a ride, yippee. I heard on the news last night that parts of Europe are experienceing a heat wave. Does that affect any people reading this?
I lived in Australia for about ten years and I never got used to the heat. Hot Hot Hot, too hot to do anything. I much prefer the temperate climate here in NZ.
Talk soon

Yes indeed. The heat really did affect me. My new flat is in a house with a flat roof (so, its a flat flat). One day it was too hot to get out of the bed. We had a Maximum of about 37 °C, wich is way to hot to use a vehicle without air-condition, but yesterday we had a nice thunderstorm, a weeks rain within 45 minutes (what's the translation of Sintflut? You know, when Noah got all the animals on his yacht...). Today its quite cloudy and cool an it looks like its gonna pour again the next hour. To hot to ride, to wet to ride... Silly Germans, never content with what they've got!
Wow 37 thats pretty hot. It only got to 30 in Fiji (mind you this is the Fiji winter)and of course being on holiday and living on the beach makes it a lot more bearable.
What temperatures do you usually have in summer?

It´s getting more and more "normal" having summertemperatures between 15 and 35°... Beside that there´s a frequent changing between atlantic and continental climate, at least in my region (west of Germany near to the Netherlands). Both together is not always suitable for bikers... But we always look on the bright side...

ok, Steve - I'll take the 25 °
[seriously]The weather is getting more and more unpredictable here - changes of 15 ° C from one day to the next are not uncommon - this is very hard to adapt to [/seriously]
But at least , we still have enough rain and no extreme temperatures - fatstring wrote something about 100 °F / 40°C where he lives -Phew
when I rode to England in summer in the 1990s it was always about 20°-25°C. Nice to bike or walk. But since about 2000 they had summers like we have. 15° or 35°C. No real pleasure to ride.

When I was in Scotland in 1998, it was terrible hot an dry (more than 70 °F, less than three hours rain/day ). But there alwasy was a nice breeze. The girls where quite incontent, because all the money they spent at the hairdressers was lost. But then it got really windy an even the sheep had to use Curlers the next day...
weather in Germany? More than 30°C today in Berlin. Tomorrow? They say about 14°C! Heavy thunderstorms with lots of rain today - and in Straelen (where I grew up) in the Lower Rhine Area a small tornado!
